The Bride &
Groom
The bride, Sarah Schaaf, is a 2019 graduate of Transylvania University where she studied Studio Art, Music and History. Sarah currently works as a Veterinary Technician in her family's veterinary hospital. Sarah is an avid equine photographer, with a rapidly expanding small business. One of Sarah's greatest passions is her miniature horse, Patrick, who is somewhat of a celebrity- don't worry, you'll get to meet him at the wedding!
The Groom, Matthew Brown, is a 2018 graduate of the University of Louisville, where he majored in English. Matthew currently works for McKesson in Operations. Matthew is a also a playwright, and is incredibly passionate about theatre. He had the honor of working with Actors Theatre of Louisville for over 6 years.
Matthew and Sarah were lucky enough to come into each other's lives in August of 2019. After their first date at the Big Four Walking Bridge in Louisville, KY they couldn't wait to see each other again.. and again.. and again. Some of their favorite early dates were seeing Hello Dolly and going to the Kentucky State Fair. Sarah and Matthew moved in together in the summer of 2020, during the height of the pandemic, followed closely by adding their dog, Vincent, to the family.
Matthew proposed to Sarah on May 7, 2022 during a surprise trip to the Kentucky Horse Park on Derby Day. The couple stayed at the Charred Oaks Inn in versailles and had dinner at Tony's of Lexington, which they both HIGHLY recommend.
Matthew and Sarah look forward to seeing you at their wedding on October 5, 2024 and sharing in a day full of joy and unconditional love.

By Car
The venue is conveniently located off of Interstate 64, only 15 minutes from Downtown Louisville.
By Flight
We recommend flying into the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. We suggest renting a car or using ridesharing services such as Uber and Lyft.
